The NAWU takes a firm position that Collective Agreements belong to the members of the Union in that bargaining unit, and those members should:
have a significant say in the proposals
be involved in the negotiations and
take the final decision on the outcome of those negotiations.
The Recognition Certificates give details of which grades are covered in each Bargaining Unit.

BWIA Pension Plan
Pensions are an essential element of employment terms and conditions. Often referred to as "deferred wages", they provide lifelong benefits to retirees. However, when BWIA shut up shop on 31st December 2006, they started the process of closing the Pension Plan.
